About this tea
Jasmine tea is the most popular flower-scented tea in East Asia. Its enchanting, unforgettable aroma is created through an artisanal method of tea scenting that dates back more than 800 years. Jasmine blossoms are gathered during midsummer evenings and spread amongst tea leaves over several successive nights. Because dried tea leaves are hygroscopic, they readily absorb floral essences like jasmine.

Grown amidst a pristine natural environment, the teas from China's southwestern Hubei province have been known for centuries as a top tea region. We began sourcing teas from this region in the early 2000's and were among the first tea companies to help establish organic certification among the hundreds of family tea farms organized into a co-op system. The sub-tropical continental region has a misty mountain climate, encouraging the tea plants to grow slowly, concentrating their dewy flavor and producing a really special quality not found in common tea farms.

    Delightful!

    I enjoyed my first cup ever of Rishi Jasmine Organic Tea at Topanga Living Cafe and had to know what they used. This is now my favorite tea. I will suggest to my friends and family that they order this, as it is such a smooth and calming green tea with just the right amount of caffeine. I am unsure which of your teas to try next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
